Five days in the High Tatras
FIVE DAYS IN THE HIGH TATRAS
- Day One: Bratislava - Nitra - Banska Bystrica - Tatranska Lomnica
Transfer from Bratislava to Tatranska Lomnica, a climate spa in the High Tatras. Lunch break in Banska Bystrica and a small walk round the historical centre.
- Day Two: Strbske Pleso - Stary Smokovec - Tatranska Lomnica
A visit to the winter sports centre of Strbske Pleso and a to the local tarn. In Smokovec , there is a possibility to take a furnicular ride to the Hrebienok station with a view of cascades. (Eventually, a furnicular ride to the Lomnický Stit- the highest peak of the High Tatras, 2632 m available)
- Day Three:Kezmarok - Levoca - Spis Castle
Continues with a visit to Kezmarok where the castle, the historical centre and wooden churches may be seen. In Levoca, it is the Old Mayor´s House and St. James Church with Europe´s highest wood-carved altar made by the craftsman Paul of Levoca. The day concludes with a tour of The Spis Castle, the largest in Europe.
- Day Four:Zdiar - Belianska cave
A half-day trip to Zdiar where particular wooden houses make an inseparable part of the local culture and folk architecture. A visit to Belianskacave with stalactites and waterfalls.
- Day Five:Transfer via Poprad - Zilina - Trencin - Bratislava
Sightseeing and shopping in Bratislava.
