The development of Slovak culture reflects the country's rich folk tradition complemented by the influences coming from broader European contexts over the centuries. The various impacts are present in the elements of folk art (pottery makers, tinkers and abundant findings of all kinds documenting creativity of Slovak nation in the past) fine art (an array of Slovak artist such as the acclaimed landscape and figure painters Ladislav Mednansky and Dominik Skutecky; by the way, did you know Andy Warhol was of Slovak origin?) or music (impressive folk heritage comprises the fold styles and classical pieces; the well-know works by Alexander Moyzes and Jan Cikker) and, last but not least - the architecture a great deal of which has been listed with UNESCO world heritage.
